I just ordered an Intuos3 tablet... omg!! I'll finally have one! No more nearly broken wrist! More flow in my art, better line quality, and overall goodness!
I've even got the perfect picture to work on for my first. For some reason, being at camp this summer helped me get some of my creative juices flowing, not to mention a new study in western art style. I'm so excited!
In other news, I had to get a new job, 'cause the McDonald's here, or rather the manager, is a complete and total ass, not to mention weasle-like. On the plus end, I'm going to be making at least $8.50 and hour, which is over a dollar more than what I was making...ever. *snerks* So, all that money will go towards paying off my tablet, and my $400 book fee for the first semester. Groan.
On the upside, I'm looking forward to seeing all my friends back in O-town. Summer has been...complicated. I'll be kinda glad to be back in the relativly simple schedule of school, work, school, work, sleep.
I kinda became more girly... and then not so more girly. For example, while hauling large branches out of the backyard the other day, I exclaimed to any that would listen that I had broken a nail, and I was actually miffed at it. What a shocker!
I feel like things have changed over the summer.. for myself mainly. I've been re-evaluating myself and what I think/believe. Overall, I feel good, but there's still some sadness lingering in the back of my mind. I had hoped to rid myself of such inexplicable randomness, but I've still got things to work on I guess.

Well, I'm done for now. I'll be leaving for orlando friday I think, for Ashley's wedding. I have no idea what's going on with camp, as it starts this saturday, and the director, who I've known for years now, has yet to call me, much less send me the required documents I need to sign before working. I don't even know when I was supposed to be there, but I'm going to be calling her today. I can't believe I'm having to call the fucking director... she's the director, she should be taking care of this.
argh... well, such is life I guess.

I'm back home now. It's nice.. all my animals were happy to see me, and now I get to train our youngest min-schnauser. She's so freakin hyper-active.
Jacon was decidedly good. I was Kenshin, from Rurouni Kenshin, and when I get the pics developed, I'll probably post the pic I took up, if it came out well, that is. Lots of people took pics of me, and that rocked outloud. I found two other Kenshins, but I was not only the best dressed, but also the best swordsman. We were lightsaber dueling for a couple of hours. I got to fight a Snake, a Dr Mario, a Sasuke, the two other Kenshins, a Spike (beebop), and a bunch of other random guys. I think that was the best part of my day. ^_^ I was the reigning champion of lightsabers.
So, I'm going to sleep all I want tonight. No alarms (save for the dogs' good morning greeting) and no having to get up early. I'm really glad to be home so I can freaking relax for a bit. I hope to get some art done, too. I have a few random canvases, and the paint from my art classes, so I want to relax and paint a bit. Not to mention I'd like to have something to take with me when I go to camp. You know, to show I really can do more than just draw cartoons... >_>
well, I'm gone for now. Sleepy and all that.

This is a multi-million dollar campaign that means cable and telephone companies would control where you go and what you see on the internet.

Ok, I've passed any kind of record I ever held for staying awake. 60 hours with no sleep. Three full days, two full nights.
Why am I still awaaake!??? I have my only exam tomorrow, and I haven't been able to study for it because of work filled nights. I'm not going to even be able to relax until I go home sunday, though after tomorrow/today, things with school will be over.
No well earned sleeping in tomorrow. I must be up early to study/cram for the only class I'm worried about making lower than a B in. It hurts so much... *whines*
This was a new and interesting experience, however, as I never thought I'd be able to stay awake this long. I'm only a few hours away from being a zombie though, so if anyone sees me tomorrow, watch your brains.

well, the camping trip is tomorrow/today (friday) Looking forward to it.. I need some bugspray though if I intend to commune with nature as I intend ^^'
This week hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be. It turns out that every single project I had due this week has been extended to next week. Hell, that was the most surprising, yet welcome news I've recieved in a while. ^_^ The other good thing, is that I have all but one project moslty done anyway, because I though they were due this week. Oh, AND I get to not ruin the kimono I made with this lovely material I found at walmart. I'm just stitching the image onto the back, instead of painting or iron on etc. That makes me happy, as I'll probably work on it a bit more, then see about wearing it to a con someday, when I decide I just want to wear something different.
Ah, I need to stop listening to sad Final Fantasy AMVs!! I'm watching this one that's all vids from FFX, plus a song that just hits that sad spot in me. After watching it the first time, I then proceeded to watch my other sad videos, and now I'm crying! It sucks so much, but it's so addictive.... I don't know why... maybe 'cause it's so refreshing.
Oh, the potential for emo is overwhelming me. I think I'll go cry over something meaningless now, and write angsty poetry.

So, it's been decided. I'm not going to be sleeping again until Thursday of this week. It sucks, but I actually may get some sleep if I can get my lazy degenerate ass into gear and stop watching random things on youtube. That place is my new favoritest site EVAR!
The schedule of my week as follows. Luckily, I don't work again until next Saturday, so I don't have to worry about that.
Monday: Have most of my Kimono made for class. I just finished buying the material, so I'll be working on it all through today, among other things. Go to History, and pay real good attention.
Tuesday: Have all measurements for my final project completed, and get everything cut out in class, if possible. Go to my comp art class and have most of my animated portfolio done (I've only put a few hours in so far...eeee)
Wednesday: Turn in finished Kimono, complete with painted scene on the back. Go to history again, and pay attention.
Thursday: Turn in finished final project, complete with display etc. Turn in animated portfolio.
Friday: sleep. Go to history. sleep.
In truth, written out, it doesn't sound like as much as when I see everything piled around my room. Given that I have yet to start both the kimono and the final project, though, granted, the final project will not take that long to put together. It's just all in preparation etc. I'm actually pretty excited about two out of the three projects, so I'll be wantng to put more time into them, which is good, and a key problem in my world. >_<
In other news, as if I actually had other news, I got the rest of my material for my Kenshin costume for Jacon. It's a thick duck-cloth, and I spent $22 on that alone. I knew I would be spending that much, but it was still mortifying. Apparently, though, many martial arts providers make their hakama out of duck-cloth, so I'm glad I decided upon it, and that I didn't use it for my first pair, which turned out ok for a first time, but I will most likely not wear them again, especially if this pair ends up looking as nice as I hope they will.

I've got a Sunfish!!! Oh man.... my neighbor gave my parents a 12ft Sunfish, right out of the freaking blue! Hell yes! I just got a call about it, and my mom's like as soon as I come home, we'll take her out. *dances about*
For those who might not know, a Sunfish is a one to two person single sail boat with a flat keel and some amazing hiking abilities. What this means, is that on a windy day, one person can ride that thing on it's edge, quite literally, with the sail nearly horizontal to the water. It's such a rush!
Woot! I can't wait until spring break!!

Ok, so I'm definitely cosplaying Himura Kenshin at Megacon. I'm already most of the way finished with my hakama, freaking hand-sewn even. I still need to hem it, make the sash/obi, and press the pleats, but it looks pretty good so far. I still have the kimono top to make, but I've already got an idea on how to make that. I'm so excited.... and we've already bought our tickets, so no hour-long waits to buy tickets.

A day for loners eveywhere to feel the greatest flow of angst EVAR! OMG!
*pouts* another year gone, another wasted day of love. On an upnote, a 'valentines party' I went to tonight (monday night I mean) had me dishing out full tarot readings to complete strangers, and getting everything freaking right! I was so very stoked afterwards.
Meh, I'm momentarily vegging, sitting in my PJs in front of my computer, minutes from going to bed.... project due tomorrow, in need of yet more money, and a trip to walmart for more art supplies.... and here I am, thinking how nice it'd be to have someone to hold. Gah, must, not, turn EMO!
You know how people, and when I say people, I mean poets, are always talking about how it's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all? Well, it's a load of BS. From personal experience, I can tell everyone that loving and losing is helluva worse than it ever was before I had love and then proceeded to know and understand what I was missing. It suxxors to the max, as a matter of fact.
...that's my little piece in contribution to this year's wave of angst. Let it warm your hearts.

*le sigh* I'm tired. I almost feel like I get no breaks from friday to monday, aka, the weekend, where most people find their stress-relief. My weekend is, well, non-existant. It kinda sucks, but I know there are people working more than me... I almost feel like a wuss for whining about it. But this is LJ! Just the place for some emo-tastic self-depression, right? Bah, as if it would go that far.
Ok, ok, I haven't been feeling as happy lately. Just kinda down, really. Can't wait for the summer, when I can go work my ass off doing something I enjoy so much more. I still have yet more art supplies to buy... the list is never-ending it seems. I don't want my work in those classes to suffer because of my lack of multiple things.... ugh... three art classes.... two studio, one requiring several hours outside class for programing and such. I don't think there'll come a time when I can just do school and stop working for the years that I'll be required to take four classes at once... I'd better get used to running from school to work and back again on a regular basis.
I thank all that's holy that I finally got my bike fixed. Having a reliable mode of transportation can do wonders for your time management. I'm going to work on having a stock of things to fix it with, so this won't happen again. What, brake's getting bad? well ok, I'll go get the spare brakepad. Tire's flat? Got an innertube right here. You know, like that.
Bah... I think I'm going to have a sleepless night tonight... again. Why do I do this to myself? Everything piles up, and sooner or later, I'm going to run myself into the ground headfirst. This is what I'm trying to avoid....though, admitedly, it's not as bad as it was that first time. I have eveything about a third to maybe a half of the way complete, instead of starting from scratch. Maybe only a few hours worth of work...
